PURPOSE:To provide the optical card which is nearly uniform in thickness and is low in production cost. CONSTITUTION:A light absorptive printing layer 11 printed with a coating material which exhibits a low reflectivity in the wavelength region to be used for recording and reproducing of information is formed on a card substrate 10 of the optical card 1. A film body 14 and a recording layer 13 are laminated so as to coat this layer. The light absorptive printing layer 11 is printed simultaneously with display symbols 12, such as logogram.
