PURPOSE:To ensure the certain connection with a pattern electrode on a printed board without strictly suppressing the dimensional precision of a connecting terminal part and improve productivity in a surface mounting type connector to be installed to the end side of the printed board. CONSTITUTION:Connecting terminals 2b, 3b situated on the tongue piece tips lined up of a plurality of plug terminals planted along the longitudinal direction of an insulator 12 are opposed to and brought into contact with a pattern electrode 5a on a printed board 5 installed onto a side wall formed along the longitudinal direction on the cross directional one side of the insulator 12, and then the connecting terminals 2b, 3b are connected to the pattern electrode 5a and mounted on the printed board 5. In such a surface mounting type connector, a bracket 14 is provided before installing to the printed board 5, and formed in such a manner that each lined connecting terminal 2b, 3b is pressed from the reverse side and displaced at once on the printed board side when the bracket 14 is installed to the insulating body 12. |
