PURPOSE:To provide an imaging system, integrated with a bookbinding device of extreme simplicity of operation and high utility, which does not allow the end of a sheet side to be stapled to be bent or unmatched and the foot part of a staple to be exposed from the surface of a sheet to ensure safe and positive bookbinding process and at the same time, enables a desired cover sheet to be freely selected. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet bundle for recording consisting of recording sheets where an image of a copy is formed, is supplied, a cover sheet is at least, double the size of a sheet for recording, if a special bookbinding with a front mode is selected, and then is bound. The cover sheet is fed to an after- processing device 3 by specified preferential sequential selection of a manual tray 15 for supplying any optional sheet, feed cassettes 11 to 13 in which a specified sheet is stored, or a cassette dedicated to the cover sheet 14 in which a special cover sheet is stored. The cover sheet is fed to an after-processing device 3. This device 3 is designed so that the supplied sheet is used to bind a cover-attached book. |
