PURPOSE:To provide an optical head which enables a tracking control and an access control to be made more accurately than before by detecting an offset of a tracking error signal caused by warpage and inclination of a disk and then compensating for the offset caused by deviation of an objective lens and warpage and inclination of a disk. CONSTITUTION:An optical beam from a semiconductor laser 101 is formed to be two coaxial optical beams with different beam diameter and polarization constituents by a beam diameter control portion 117 and is emitted to an optical disk 118 by an objective lens 110, two optical beams which are reflected by an optical disk 118 are guided to a signal-detection system 116 and are separated by utilizing a difference in the polarization constituents, and then they are detected by two split-type optical detectors 114 and 115. |
