A machine for cutting foodstuff into slices, strips or cubes, particularly meat, sausage and bacon, exhibits a machine bed (1), a cutting chamber (2) equipped with a support surface for the merchandise to be cut up, and at the front end of which is placed a cutting slit (3) arranged transversely to the direction of advancement of the merchandise to be cut up, and a cutting device. The cutting device exhibits a rotary cutter which drops into the cutting slit (30), and an advancement device (12) for the merchandise to be cut, which displaces the merchandise to be cut in its longitudinal direction in the cutting chamber (2). According to the invention, the surface for supporting the merchandise to be cut in the cutting chamber (2) is designed as a conveyor belt (9) which can move in the longitudinal direction of the cutting chamber (2) so that it can be displaced at least approximately at the same speed of advancement as that of the advancement device (12). <IMAGE>
