PURPOSE:To obtain a recorded image close to a photograph in terms of appearance and gloss by providing a polyolefin resin layer on both surfaces of an original sheet and roughing the surface of the polyolefin resin layer on the side where an image-receptive layer is formed to a specified degree through a patterning process. CONSTITUTION:An original sheet should preferably be one used for the manufacture of a photographic printing sheet. Further, the recommended polyolefin resins are high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene and these blend. An image-receptive layer has a patterned polyolefin resin layer and the surface is roughed to the ten points average roughness of 3 to 10mum as specified by JIS BO601. This patterning process is performed using a cleaning roll with a rough surface when polyolefin resin is extruded for coating. The surface is matted, silk-skinned or fine-grained depending upon choice. An image-receptive layer is formed on a surface resin layer obtained. |
