PURPOSE:To present the thermal recording material excellent in the head masking property by mixing a spcified nitrogenous compound and calcium carbonate in a thermal color development layer wherein a leuco-substance in the main. CONSTITUTION:In the thermal color development layer formed of the leuco-substance which is usually colorless or somewhat light-colored and of a phenolic material or organic acid which develops the color of the leuco-substance by heating is compounded an urea derivative such as, for instance, N-dodecyl-N', N'-ethylene urea and N-octadecyl-N', N'-ethylene urea in weight about 0.1-3 times as much as the content of the leuco-substance and the phenolic material or the organic acid. Moreover, the calcium carbonate is compounded in weight 0.5-10 times as much as the above urea compound. The leuco-substance and the mixture excepting the leuco- substance are perpared and applied for coating separately. The thermal recording material thus obtained has high heat responsiveness and causes little adhesion of dregs and occurrence of the phenomenon of ghost. |
