<p>PURPOSE:To make stitching allowable number of sheets larger to handle easily by improving stitching performance and appearance of stitched parts. CONSTITUTION:Staples 304a and 304b are different kinds from each other, housed movably. Stapler body units 302 and 1302 for driving staples into and making them pass through a paper bundle S laid on a finish tray 400 are provided. When respective staples are to be placed in predetermined stitching positions, they are arranged in positions opposite to the stapler body units 302 and 1302 positioned in the predetermined stitching positions by interposing the paper bundle S laid on the finish tray 400 between them. There are also provided a stapler 301 having staple guard units 306a and 1306a for clinching tips of the staples 304a and 304b passed through the paper bundle S, a belt 325 for moving the stapler body units 302 and 1302 to predetermined stitching positions, and a CPU for selecting one from the stapler body units 302 and 1302 and moving the selected stapler body unit to the predetermined stitching position by the belt 325.</p> |
