PURPOSE:To provide a seamless belt having high dimensional accuracy, excellent heat stability without elongation and shrinkage under change in application environment, especially even at high temp. such as about 200 deg.C and excellent mechanical strength and a method for production thereof. CONSTITUTION:A seamless belt which is characterized by a rate of shrinkage of 2% or smaller at 200 deg.C and an elasticity of 70kg/mm<2> in the traveling direction and consists of polyether ether ketone resin and a method for production thereof wherein the polyether ether ketone resin is drawn each twofold in the longitudinal and transverse directions and made into a film by means of an inflation and simultaneous and biaxial drawing method and then, the film is heat-set on a drum with the same outer diameter as the inner diameter of a required seamless belt at a temp. of 200-320 deg.C under a rate of relaxation of 5-30%. |
