PURPOSE:To provide the photographic performance with high sensitivity and high contrast and reduce the sensitivity fluctuation in the manufacturing process by incorporating a hydrazine nucleation agent and a specific compound in a constituting layer. CONSTITUTION:At least a photosensitive silver halogenide emulsion layer is provided on a base, and a hydrazine derivative and a compound expressed by the formula are contained in the emulsion layer or another hydrophilic colloid layer, where R<1>, R<2> may be the same or different and indicate hydroxy group, hydroxyl amino group and alkoxy group respectively. A redox compound discharging a development restrainer when oxidized is contained in the emulsion layer or the other hydrophilic colloid layer. The added quantity of the compound expressed by the formula is varied according to the type of the polymer used concurrently, and it is normally set to 0.01-10g per silver 1 mole. The hydrazine derivative 1X10<-6>-5X10<-2> mole per silver halogen 1 mole and the redox compound 1X10<-6>-5X10<-2> mole per silver halogen 1 mole are contained.
