The impact protection strip is for attachment to the exterior of the door panel of a vehicle. It comprises two plastics extrusion components (19,36) which combine to give the desired outer contour. The outer cover (19) has side flanges (20,22) and the inner surface of the cover has a pair of shanks (26) with enlarged heads (28) which engage channels (34) between a central rib in the other component (36), supported on adhesive strips (34). ADVANTAGE - Impact protection strip which if damaged can easily be replaced without requiring attention to the entire door panel.
