The machine tool chuck (5) is detachable from the driving spindle (1) via bodies (7) slid radially by a rotary setting ring (8). Locking members (9) in apertures (6b) in a mounting body (6) engage in recesses (19a,b) in a tool shank (19), and are slid in the radial direction by turning or sliding a locking sleeve (12). The mounting body has other apertures (6c) for control members (11), slid radially by the sleeve, which allow the latter to be turned or slid, as long as they engage in the recesses in the shank.
