Wheel lock on railway vehicle transporters - has locking rail and parallel inner contact rail, lock is pivoted against contact rail

The wheel lock with parallel guide rails is for use on railway wagons transporting motor vehicles. It is displaceable in the guide rails. The distance between the holder clamps on the device is larger than the distance between the guide rails. The lock is lockable in one guide rail, via a journal. An inner contact rail (4) with a vertical web (9) is located parallel to an outer locking rail (3). The contact rail has a top (10) with a head profile (11), having a surface, which is at an angle to the locking rail. The wheel lock is pivoted against the web, through an angle of alpha 90 degrees, with its end (17) facing the contact rail. ADVANTAGE - Change in construction permits use esp. with cars.
