The arrangement comprises a read only memory (3) in which fixed data necessary for financial transaction processing are stored, such as bank number and processing program. A random access memory (4) stores data such as kind of transactions and amounts. A CPU (2) processes transaction data in accordance with the stored program, a keyboard (6) being provided for entering data into the RAM, the data being displayed (5). A customer enters necessary transaction processing data beforehand and the CPU makes the RAM store it in a predetermined area in response to the kind of transaction. When inserted into a terminal the ROM and RAM contents are read (15) and a controlling position (22) performs, e.g. payment, deposit and transfer in accordance with the data in the RAM.
