PURPOSE:To stabilize coefficient of friction without largely reducing the travelling life of a belt. CONSTITUTION:A V-ribbed belt 1 is a transmission belt composed of a vulcanized rubber composition containing a predetermined a mount of short fibers 6 composed of Aramid fibers. An amount of the short fibers in the rubber is not needed to be increased owing to a reinforcing effect of the Aramid fibers, so that the modulus of elasticity and fatigue life of the rubber are improved. The coefficient of friction is stabilized by replacing a part of the Aramid fibers by nylon fibers. |
