The wet rollers for an offset printing machine, copier or developing machine are made of a vulcanisable rubber mixt. of natural or nitrile rubber of a predetermined hardness. This mixt. has an admixture of polyamide fibres, 0.2-0.8 mm (0.5 mm) long and with a dia. of 15-30 mu. Their percentage of the entire material is 2-25% (15%). A resin is also added to act as a bond. The fibres preferably stand out a little above the roller surface.
