The sun visor body (1) has a bearing axis, whose one end is embedded in one longitudinal edge end, with the other end retained in a swivel bearing. The far end is fitted with an edge-parallel journal which releasably engages a rear bearing block. The preferably, plastics injection moulded journal (12) has an axial part which can radially deform to engage the bearing block socket (10,11). Typically the journal has an axial slot in the deformable area at right angles to the visor. USE/ADVANTAGE - For car fitting, with improved mounting irrespective of temperature conditions.
