The invention relates to a method for the stereoselective preparation of Gal- alpha (1-3)/Gal- beta (1-4)/GlcNac trisaccharides of the formula <IMAGE> and of beta (1-3)-linked oligolactosamines of the formula <IMAGE> via partially alkylated glycals of the formula <IMAGE> and other intermediates, in which, depending on the formula R is H, R'CH2-, allyl R<1> is H, R'CH2-, allyl or R'CO-, R' is H, C1 to C3-alkyl or (un)substituted phenyl, S is a spacer, preferably of the formula -(CH2)n-COOR", R" is alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms, X is N3 or -NHCOCH3, Y is ss-OSiR2<3> or alpha -OC(=NH)CCl3, R<2> is C1 to C4-alkyl or phenyl, and m,n are an integer from 1 to 4 or 4 to 12 respectively. |
