<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption and to prolong the life of a portable device battery by continuously supplying power to X-direction and Y-direction hole sensors for a prescribed time without overlapping and providing a prescribed time when power is not supplied to any sensors. CONSTITUTION:An X-Y coordinate input device consists of a slider 1, a movable magnet 2, a housing 3 supporting the slider 1, a printed board 4, a hole sensor 5 mounted on the board, and a case 6. A claw 3a is inserted into and engaged with the slit 4a of the printed board 4, on which the hole sensor 5 is mounted, to attach the housing 3 to the printed board. The housing 3 is provided with a hole 3b on the upper face, and the magnet 2 is placed in the hole 3b when the slider 1 is set. A pair of hole sensors are provided in each of X and Y directions to improve the linearity characteristic of the output.</p> |
