PURPOSE:To provide a document displaying and editing device capable of displaying and editing efficiently a document. CONSTITUTION:A document fragment control part 1 controls a document fragment of a part of the document together with additional information such as position information, etc. A document fragment selection operating part 3 selects the document fragment registered in the document fragment control part 1. A document fragment display operating part 4 designates whether the document fragment selected by using the document fragment selection operating part 3 is to be displayed in its whole part or to be displayed after being symbolized, and stores this displaying method information in the document fragment control part 1. A document fragment display part 5 displays the document fragment based on the displaying method information controlled by the document fragment control part 1. Accordingly, the document fragment can be displayed by symbolizing it. |
