The cutting mechanism allows the printed ticket to be separated from the remainder of the ticket web for removal via the dispensing slot. It uses rotary cutter (4) operated via an electric motor cooperating with a fixed blade (5). A profile block (3) supported between two opposing sidewallshas a reception channel (3a) containing the double-edged, helical rotary cutter (4) cooperating a spring-mounted fixed blade (5) on the open side of the reception channel (3a). The profile block (3) is fitted with two protective covers (6,7) respectively enclosing the rotary cutter (4) and the fixed blade (5) and the electric drive motor with its associated switch (8).
