The propulsion assembly for bicycles has cranks, which are longer in the front power-generating section. A control plate is located on either side of the bicycle frame, and the front of each plate is elliptical. Telescopic double crank arms each consist of an upper and a lower pedal arm, with the upper arm moving to and fro in the lower arm. Each lower arm has a roller fastened to it, which rotates in a U-profile in the control plate on the frame. This slides and controls the double crank arms. In the elliptical part of the control plate, the roller pushes the upper pedal arm out of the lower one, to extend it. ADVANTAGE - Requires less propulsion power by the legs.
