A metallic plate (17) covering the front panel of the radio (2) recessed into the dashboard is fixed by a spacer (16) to a rigid strut (10) formed by two C-section arms (11a,11b) in which semicircular recesses (13) and an end opening (15) engage the rim (1) and a spoke (3) respectively of the steering wheel. A cylinder lock in the strut (10) secures the arms (11a,11b) which are jointed (12) to one end of the spacer (16), together in the engaged position. ADVANTAGE - Plate over the radio's front panel cannot be dislodged by bending or rotation when steering column is locked.
