The characters and diagrams are edited and stored on a memory of a television having a teletext, and the recorded characters and diagrams are displayed on a frame by the request from user. The method includes the steps: (A) setting edit function on a remote controller; (B) setting edit support keys such as delete, cursor control key, and Korean/English change key on a remote controller; and (C) setting character keys for English and Korean. The data generated by pressing the function key and edit support keys are stored on a video RAM and displayed on a screen.
