Portable power tools frequently have a handgrip diameter which is too large to allow the operator`s hand to be completely closed round the grip. To improve security of handling a strap (11) parallel to the handgrip surface and bearing on the back of the hand is provided. The strap is flexible and of flat cross-section so that it can readily conform to the shape of the hand. It is conveniently fastened at one end (14) on the end face of the tool and at the other end (15) on the outer surface of the handgrip. ADVANTAGE - Simple method of improving ease and security of handling.
