The machine produces printing plates, having one or more cassettes (7,8) accommodating the master copies (11). These are extracted by an overhead suction frame (5), against which they lie flat. The master copies are supported in the cassettes by a relief surface, to match variations in their thickness. The surface can be divided into sections independently adjustable for height. Alternatively there can be a membrane, enclosing a chamber through which a medium flows. The flow can be cut in when the frame moves onto the top surface of the master copy. USE/ADVANTAGE - The master copy fits closely and flat against the frame.
