<p>PURPOSE:To improve turbine efficiency by closing a nozzle of a turbine scroll of a turbocharger by means of opening/closing valves according to a flow rate of exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:A closing part 13 is provided on a terminal part of a flow passage of a nozzle 12 of a turbine scroll 1. A plurality of arcular opening/ closing valves 3, 4, 5 which engage with the nozzle 12 for closing are arranged on the nozzle 12 except for the part thereof over a specified length from the closing part 13. The nozzle 12 is controlled by the valves 3, 4, 5 according to a flow rate of the exhaust gas. Proper throttle is obtained according to the exhaust gas rate and a turbine 2 is driven.</p> |
