摘要 PURPOSE:To prepare a reaction cell with high optical accuracy wherein an outside light path surface and inner surfaces are made parallel, by temporarily adhering upper and lower surfaces, which come to the side of a light path, of a plurality of square glass tubes in such a state that said glass tubes are horizontally arranged in parallel and collectively polishing the outer surfaces thereof. CONSTITUTION:A jig 10, wherein a plurality of square rods 11 each having a diameter slightly smaller than the inner diameter of a glass tube 4 are provided in parallel so as to make upper and lower surfaces 11a, 11b thereof horizontal, is prepared. next, the glass tube 4 is fitted around each square rod 11 and side surfaces of adjacent tubes 4 are temporarily adhered to each other by an adhesive 12 and outer peripheral surfaces of said upper and lower surfaces are integrally polished so as to be flushed to each other and, thereafter, the adhesive is removed to obtain a square reaction cell. Therefore, each glass tube has upper and lower outer surfaces parallel to the inner surfaces thereof and optical accuracy becomes high while a polishing process is extremely efficient and production yield can be enhanced.
