摘要 PURPOSE:To conduct grinding work in accordance with the unevenness condition of an outer surface to be ground, to enhance the efficiency of grinding with the use of a surface grinding device for floors or the like, by forming the cutting edge section of a grinder so that the cutting edge section is retractable in the radial direction of a drive shaft. CONSTITUTION:A grinding device for uneven surfaces such as floor or the like, is arranged such that a grinder 12 is fitted, through its hollow hexagonal inner frame 16, onto a drive shaft 14 formed of a hexagonal column while a resilient member 18, as a retracting means, made of rubber or the like, is made to pierce through the inner frame 16, and a plate-like coil spring 20 is arranged around the outer periphery of the resilient member 18. Ultrahard abrasive agent 24 such as diamond grid or carbide grid is deposited on the plate-like coil spring by electro-plating or the like to constitute a cutting edge section. with this arrangement, the resilient member 18 and the plate-like coil spring 20 are elastically deformed in accordance with the unevenness condition of a surface to be ground, and therefore, the cutting edge section follows the unevenness of the surface to be ground, in the vertical direction so that it extends and retracts, thereby it is possible to obtain an uniform ground surface with no unground part being left.
