This method consists in recovering the polluting liquid for its subsequent use or recycling, use being made for this purpose of external devices which float on the polluted surface and which are connected by means of a tube to the lower part of the hold, tank or container in which it is desired to store it. To this end, if we begin with a difference between the inside of the container, hold, etc. and the outside of the surface of H = 0, as water is pumped via the pump A towards the outside of the container the dimension H will increase, with the result that liquid will enter inside the hold via LA absorption place - and, owing to the different density, the oils, petroleum, etc. will rise and the water will descend. A pump located at point P will send the recovered liquid to other holds downstream in the case of vessels and, in the case of rivers or reservoirs (marshes), to tanker lorries which would discharge it. <IMAGE>
