PURPOSE:To provide a miniature light-weight axial symmetric superconducting magnet with a less leakage magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:In an axial symmetric superconducting magnet, radial and axial magnetic filed leakages are prevented by mounting a cylindrical magnetic member 3 disposed coaxially with a central axis of the magnet and upper and lower pairs of shielding coils 2a', 2a'', 2a''', and 2b', 2b'', 2b''' disposed symmetrically with respect to the central surface of the magnet. Since the magnetic field shielding is made compact, an installation area is saved and the cost is reduced. |
