PURPOSE:To obtain an abradant composition having improved abrasion efficiency, forming excellent abrasion surface, containing water, alumina and a chelate compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising (A) water, (B) usually 1-30wt.% (preferably 2-15wt.%) alumina, preferably composed of alpha-alumina having 0.1-10mum (preferably 0.1-3mum) average particle diameter, (C) usually 0.01-20wt.% (preferably 0.1-10wt.%) chelate compound, preferably polyaminocarboxylic acid-based chelate compound, preferably further (D) preferably 0.5-10wt.% boehmite and/or (E) preferably 0.5-10wt.% aluminum salt such as aluminum sulfate. |
