A temporary support barrier formed by a plurality of poles supporting a length of tape is secured in a road surface by a securing assembly 4 attached to each pole and adapted to be detachably secured in a recess 5 in the road surface. The recess 5 is formed in the road surface by temporary removal of the rubber insert of a cat's eye or other type of road stud. Furthermore a respective road-engaging spacer 3 extends between each pole and the associated securing assembly 4 so as to secure the pole in position at a location spaced from the recess 5. Such a barrier may be made of relatively light construction as it will be prevented by the securing assemblies 4 from being blown over by the wind. <IMAGE> |
