<p>A composition which useful for removing polymeric coatings from substrates comprises (A) from 10 to 99 weight percent of a propylene or butylene glycol diether of formula I R<1>O - (CH2 - CHR<3>O)n - R<2> (I) wherein R<1> and R<2> independently are a C1-12-alkyl group, R<3> in each occurrence independently is methyl or ethyl and n is from 1 to 4, (B) from 90 to 0 weight percent of an organic protic solvent and (C) from 30 to 1 weight percent of water, based on the total weight of (A), (B) and (C). The composition is free of a substantial amount of chlorinated solvents.</p> |
