A liner (1) for a coffin or a casket comprises a flexible waterproof material shaped to correspond to the interior shape of a coffin or a casket and capable of covering the bottom surface and extending at least part way up the sides. Preferably, the liner (1) can extend at least ten inches up the sides of the coffin and is made from a single sheet of a waterproof plastics material which is cut and welded to shape.
