PURPOSE:To stabilize a stopping operation of a motor and to particularly improve a stopping accuracy in the case of controlling a speed to a second speed or more in a stop control in the case of switching multiple speeds of the motor. CONSTITUTION:A stopping circuit 1 used for a drive motor, which can control to switch multiple speeds of a magnetic disk apparatus and to stop the rotation of the motor, is provided. The circuit 1 comprises a flip-flop 2 for controlling two-phases proportional to the rotating speed of the motor, an AND gate 3 for performing an AND operation of the output signal of the flip-flop 2 and an external input stop signal, voltage dividing resistors 4, 5 connected in series with an output terminal of the gate 3, and a comparator 6 for comparing a voltage-divided torque voltage of the resistors 4, 5 or a full torque voltage by the stop signal from a controller with a predetermined reference voltage. And, the stop is controlled by the divided torque voltage of the resistors 4, 5 from the rotation of 1/8 of a rated speed to the stop. |
