PURPOSE:To suppress variation in electric power and variation in system voltage when a capacitor is turned on and off by controlling the addition of a bias quantity to a lagging current command according to the detection timing of a 1st and a 2nd electric feeding detecting means. CONSTITUTION:When a breaker 3 is turned on at time (t) and a current flows to the capacitor 2, a detection signal of the electricity feeding is outputted by a CT 24 and a level detector 26 and the input conditions of an AND gate 28 are satisfied, so that a switch 18 is turned on almost without delay. A bias value is therefore applied and an addition value which becomes a phase control input to a thyristor device (TCR) controlling lagging reactive power operates so as to increase the lagging current, so that the TCR current increases almost without delay. This increment is set in a setter 17 previously so as to equal a capacitor current, so an ineffective current does not vary and the system voltage has a little variation. The output of an error amplifier 12 has a little variation and the stable control can be carried on. |
