Process which comprises the stages of: cutting and distributing strips of material forming at least two groups with the same number of strips, arranging, between these two groups, at least one strip of carbon fibre; adding to the assembly thus formed resin which passes via the strips, both those of fabric and those of carbon fibre, giving the assembly an impregnation bath so that they are properly sized, subjecting the assembly to a pressure of approximately 1400 kilos/cm2 for a period of time of from three to four hours and at a temperature of between 100 degree and 200 degree C; whilst the product thus formed in the press moves on to a cutting machine in order to obtain the belt in different widths. <IMAGE>
