The "syringe which can be used only once" is characterized in that it allows the extraction of liquid and the expulsion thereof, preventing further extraction of liquid, thus preventing the syringe from being used again. In addition to the conventional elements, the syringe has two ramps formed by wedges (those of ramp A, which is represented in the figure, are arranged in the opposite direction to those of ramp B). There is also a mechanism which allows the ramp to move in one direction but blocks it in the opposite direction (the direction in which ramp B is blocked is the opposite of that for ramp A). In order to extract liquid, the mechanism M is positioned over ramp A, and the button is pulled out. In order to expel it, the button is turned and the mechanism M is positioned over ramp B (since if this is not done M will block ramp A), and the button is pushed in. There is also another similar mechanism (represented in a later figure) which prevents ramp A from being used again. <IMAGE>
