PURPOSE:To perform plastic joining easily and continuously by detecting a plastic-joining surface with the aid of a detecting means to adjust automatically the height of a roll, used for plastic joining, and plastically joining a hydraulic actuation-member to the back surface of a movable sheave at the optimum position. CONSTITUTION:The height position of the plastic-joining surface A of a movable sheave 16b is detected by a detecting means, and a driving means is driven by a prescribed amount in accordance with the detection signal to move laterally a vertical-position adjusting bed 43. A roll bed 45 is vertically moved by said lateral movement through taper surfaces 43a, 45a, to set a plastically joining roll 47 to the height matching to the movable sheave 16. By advancing the roll 47 with the aid of a hydraulic cylinder 46 used for advancing the roll 47; the roll 47 is brought into rolling contact with the outer circumference of a rotating hydraulic actuation-member 21 fitted to the sheave 16b, to join plastically the member 21 to the back surface of movable sheave 16. |
