PURPOSE:To recognize a terminal identifier allocated before reset by implementing check procedure of the terminal identifier to a data transmission line just after reset of a storage means for the terminal identifier. CONSTITUTION:Suppose that an ISDN network side interface section 104 is reset by a control section due to a fault of a telephone exchange. A terminal termination identifier (TEI) management procedure processing section 202 of the interface section 104 implements initializing processing to set automatic allocation TEI of a TEI map 204 to entirely the in operating state. When the TEI map 204 is reset, the processing section 202 implements the TEI check procedure to an ISDN transmission line 106 to check all the TEI values. As a result when the use of the TEI is confirmed, the processing section 202 makes the area of the TEI in which the use of the map 204 is used busy. As a result, even when a terminal identifier is allocated to the terminal equipment before reset, the terminal link is set after reset. |
