PURPOSE:To enable easy low-cost positioning which requires neither facilities nor environmental facilities at the time of assembly by moving a stem by properly rotating an X-axial movable screw and a Y-axial movable screw. CONSTITUTION:This photosemiconductor element module is equipped with a receptacle provided with a ferrule 2 for holding a fiber 21, the stem 3 which provides electric interface with the outside by mounting an optical semiconductor element 4, and movable holding parts 5, 7, 8, and 9 which hold the ferrule 2 and stem 3 and are movable at least in an X-axial and a Y-axial direction. The X-axial movable screw 71 and Y-axial movable screw 81 can be rotated to an external end surface with a driver, etc. When the module is assembled, fibers are set opposite each other and electric power is applied to the optical semiconductor element; while the output from the fibers in case of a light emitting element or the output current of a photodetecting element in case of the photodetecting element is monitored, the X-axial movable screw 71 and Y-axial movable screw 81 are properly rotated to move the stem 3, thus performing the positioning operation. |
