<p>PURPOSE:To allow the execution of efficient heating and to obviate an increase in furnace length so as to reduce an initial cost by constituting the heater in such a manner that the nonuniformity in the temp. distribution in the transverse direction of a metallic strip generated by induction heating can be corrected in a short period of time and increasing the feed speed of the strip. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of electromagnetic induction type heating mechanisms 4, 5, and a contact type heat transfer mechanism 6. After the metallic strip 1 to be treated is subjected to induction heating by the electromagnetic induction type heating mechanisms 4, 5, the metallic strip 1 is brought into contact with the surfaces of rolls 6a, 6b, 6c, etc., by the contact type heat transfer mechanism 6 to correct the nonuniformity of the temp. distribution in the transverse direction of the strip generated by induction heating with the heat transfer by the contact.</p> |
