NUTRIENT MEDIUM FOR MICROBIOLOGICAL NEEDS

The nutritious medium is used for cultivating microorganisms. It has a simplified composition and cooking method, which renders redundant a number of operations connected to the preliminary treatment of the raw materials and the correction of the temperature and pH. The medium is suitable for cultivation of a specific circle of microorganisms. It consists of a suspension from the red micro seaweed Porphyridium cruentum, with a content of dry substance 2-5 g/l and agar 0.4-1.3 g/l.
