PURPOSE:To improve the erasing rate of the phase transition type optical disk and to increase the number of rewriting times thereof. CONSTITUTION:A metallic film 5 contains at least either of a metal having >=350(W/mk) thermal conductivity or metal having >=10X10<10> (N/m<2>) Young's modulus at>=1atomic%. The metallic film 5 is formed of, for example, Cu, Ag, Ni, Pt, Ti, and Pd. A magnetic field is impressed to a recording film 3 and recording and erasing are executed by a laser beam 8. |
