PURPOSE:To correct a sound quality difference and an output level difference between the reproduction modes by reading a sound volume and sound quality characteristic corresponding to a selected sound source and using a sound quality adjustment section so as to adjust the sound volume and sound quality of an audio signal. CONSTITUTION:A mode switching section 4 selects a sound source from a radio reception section 1, a cassette tape reproduction section 2, and CD reproduction section 3 by an instruction from a mode switch 10, and a sound volume and sound quality characteristic at every sound source is stored and set to a storage section 9. Then a mode identification signal is applied to a sound volume and sound quality adjustment control section 8 from the mode switching section 3 at the switching of the reproduction modes by the mode switch 10. Thus, the sound volume and sound quality adjustment control section 8 reads the sound volume and sound quality characteristic of the reproduction mode from the storage section 9 and inputs the characteristic to a sound quality adjustment section 5. The sound volume and sound quality of the reproduced audio signal is adjusted in response to the sound volume and sound quality characteristic inputted from the sound volume and sound quality control section 8 in such a manner and the resulting sound is outputted from a speaker 7 via a low frequency amplifier section 6. |
