PURPOSE:To secure the control accuracy of line pressure in a high output region and avoid the degradation of control accuracy in a low output region by providing the second target line pressure setting means for setting the target line pressure on the basis of engine load detected at the time of engine output being smaller than a specified value. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a line pressure regulating means A for regulating line pressure supplied to a friction locking element, an engine torque substituted value computing means B for computing the engine torque substituted value corresponding to engine output torque on the basis of the engine state quantity, the first target line pressure setting means C for setting the target line pressure on the basis of the computed engine torque substituted value, and a control means D for operating the line pressure regulating means A so as to obtain the set target line pressure. There are further provided an engine load detecting means E for detecting engine load, and the second target line pressure setting means F for setting the target line pressure on the basis of the engine load detected by the engine load detecting means E. |
