PURPOSE:To more flexibly utilize a printer by connecting plural printers having different fonts and dynamically selecting a font when a document is edited/ outputted. CONSTITUTION:A system main body part collects the information on fonts which plural printers 7 connected with the system main body part have from a printer 7, taking an opportunity of a font selection instruction. Based on the information, the system main body displays a style of type selection window on the part of a document editing screen of a CRT 13. System users select desired fonts from the style of type selection window using a keyboard 9 or a mouse 10. Thus, the document editing/output can be performed by selecting a desired font from an arbitrary printer. |
