PURPOSE:To enable data communication between the different types of devices by receiving the data of a first code system, converting them to the data of a second code system and transmitting the converted data. CONSTITUTION:Data 8 of a JIS code are received from a keyboard 1, which generates the data of the JIS code, to a reception part 3 of a code converting device 2. The received data are passed through a data bus 6 and converted into an ASCII code by a data conversion part 4. The converted data are transmitted through the data bus 6 to a data transmission part 5. The data transmission part 5 transmits ASCII code data 9 to an information processor 7. The information processor 7 recognizes the ASCII code and can process the data. Thus, since this device is connected between the devices of the different code systems, data communication can be executed between the different types of devices. |
