PURPOSE:To obtain a gray hair preventive agent, capable of activating melanocytes of hair roots, suppressing melanization by external application to the scalp and capable of exhibiting remarkably improved preventive and improving effects on gray hair as compared with those of conventional agents and having high safety for the skin. CONSTITUTION:A gray hair preventive agent is obtained by blending (A) a product, formed and liberated in the epidermis and/or skin tissue by irradiation with ultraviolet rays as an essential ingredient with other ingredients and preferably adding (B) adenosine 3',5'-cyclic-phosphate compound, forskolin or their derivative, especially a compound expressed by formulas I to III (R1 and R2 are H or 1-6C acyl; X is H, O-containing group, S-containing group, 1-6C alkylamino or halogen; M is H or salt-forming cation; R3 to R10 are H, =O, OH, NH2, YZ, diethylaminomethyl or toluenesulfonyl; Y is O or direct bond; Z is 1-25C acyl or 1-25C alkyl; R11 is H, 2-25C alkenyl, 1-25C alkyl, 1-25C dialkylaminohydroxyethyl, CHO or epoxyalkyl) thereto. The aforementioned agent has th above-mentioned effects. |
